THE LATEST TRENDS AT CROP SHOP

THE FRINGE

The fringe is back with a vengeance! An edgy look that will be a massive for men for the next year or so.

To look bang on trend, you need a fringe that is swept forward from the crown – with the back and sides of your hair really short.  For a preppy look opt for a short fringe.  For a sexy and cool look ask for a longer fringe and keep it layered and choppy.

If your hair is receding, you’ll love this hairstyle as you can look on-trend and cover up your problem area at the same time!

THE QUIFF

What do Elvis, Bruno Mars, Morrissey and Sam Smith have in common?  The quiff!

The quiff remains a firm favourite and is a great look if you have straight, curly or wavy hair.

Keep the top of your hair long and add as much height as you like, then add short or shaved sides and back for hair that can be adapted to suit men of all ages.

THE MESSY LOOK

The messy look for men is all about the cut and texture.  At Crop Shop we will give you a cut so your hair will have a choppy, sexy look that is easy to look after.

Don’t be fooled into thinking you can create this look yourself, simply by messing up your hair into a scruffy style – it needs precision cutting.

LONG HAIR

Long hair can look suave and sophisticated with the right man and the right hair cut!

We can recommend a style that will suit your face shape and sense of style.  If you are growing your hair, we can also find a style for that awkward ‘in-between’ stage.

Long hair needs to be in great condition to look good so make sure you keep it washed and well conditioned.

Consider visiting us for a regular trim or to have layers added too.  Layers will add extra shape and volume to your long hair which means you can pretty much wash it and go without too much styling.  .

HAIR COLOUR

We’ve seen a huge increase in the number of men wanting to give their hairstyle more ‘edge’ by adding colour or highlights to their hairstyle.

Consider adding a pop of colour to your fringe to accentuate the look, or ask for a block colour all over to add depth and interest to your style.  We’ll give you advice and talk you through the hair colour process, so you can rest assured you are in good hands.

We are experts in applying the latest Wella hair colour so If you are interested in having your hair coloured, book in now.

THE PERFECT STYLE FOR YOUR FACE SHAPE

Your face shape is one of the main thing to take into account when selecting your style.  The ‘perfect hairstyle’ balances out the shape of your face, we will work with you to find a hairstyle that’s perfect for you.

Oval: Oval faces have symmetry which means they tend to suit just about any style. Avoid full length fringes as they can make your oval face look round.

Square: If you want to balance your square facial features, we’d recommend softer styles with layering… so no blunt cuts or full fringes.

Rectangular: Avoid short hair on the sides or swept back hair on top as this will make your face look even longer.

Round: Avoid hair falling onto the face as this will make it look more round.

Heart: A longer hair style will balance a heart-shaped face and you also want to try out some facial hair too!

Triangle: To balance a wide jaw line we’d recommend long hair with plenty of layers.
